Taking charge of stress and worry workshop
Students at Central London campus had the opportunity to attend the Taking charge of stress and worry workshop run by professional therapists from Westminster branch of CNWL Talking Therapies Services and picked up useful tips how to cope with stress.
Ellen Storan and Sofie Manetta, therapists from the Westminster branch of CNWL Talking Therapies Services talked to students about what stress is and its effects on the body. Students took active part in discussion of problem solving techniques, received helpful information how to break procrastination and how to deal with panic attacks.
At the end of the session, students were given information on how to access further support, and the opportunity to request one to one counselling sessions. Students found the workshops very helpful and were equipped with a set of practical tools which will help them to overcome stressful situations and manage their anxiety better. Students and staff are looking forward to the next workshop which will take place next term.
