Regent College London partners with CNWL Talking Therapies
Student Well-being is a top priority for Regent College London. That is why we aim to offer our students access to a variety of mental health support services and information.
The Student Support Team at Regent College London has established a partnership with the Central and North West London Foundation Talking Therapies Service to to help students to improve stress management techniques. CNWL Talking Therapies are recognised locally, nationally and internationally for providing high quality, innovative healthcare. Ms Rhianna Blackwell, High Intensity CBT Therapist / Acting Senior supported the idea of providing a series of workshops for Regent College London students to enhance their emotional wellbeing.
The first workshop ‘’Stress management‘’ was run by professional therapists from CNWL Talking Therapies Services at our Kingsbury and Wembley campuses. During the session the students learned how to maintain a healthy balance, what stress is and its effects on the body and techniques to help manage stress. They practiced some relaxation techniques and were able to ask questions about how to develop resilience and battle anxiety.
At the end of the session students were given information on how to access further support, and also the opportunity to request a one to one counselling sessions.
Students found the workshop very helpful and were equipped with a set of practical tools which would help them to overcome stressful situations and manage their anxiety better.
