Regent College HE Receives Outstanding NSS 2018 Results
The NSS 2018 survey, published by the Office for Students, surveyed over 320,000 students in the UK about their university experience. Students were asked about a variety of factors, including the teaching on their courses, learning opportunities and resources, academic support and feedback, the university community, their students’ union and student representation, along with their overall satisfaction with the quality of their course.
Results of the National Student Survey (NSS), released this week, show that Regent College HE has performed above the national average in all 9 themes.
Regent College HE is pleased to have maintained an overall student satisfaction rate of 90%, outperforming the average across the university sector by 7%.
Katrina McCarthy, Principal of Regent College, said:
“We are thrilled to see that the experience of our students has been reflected as a positive one in this year’s NSS, and that overall student satisfaction at Regent College is at 90% maintaining our results from last year and significantly outperforming the sector which we recognise is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff.”
The key highlights are:
- 91% of students are satisfied with teaching at RCHE, 7% above the national average
- 86% of students are satisfied with Assessment and Feedback, 13% above the national average
- 89% of students felt part of a thriving learning community compared to a sector average of 77%.
Daniel Green, Director for Students added:
“We have doubled the number of responses to the NSS this year and I am delighted to see that student satisfaction rates in all areas still remain extremely high. Feedback is important to us and we encourage students to make their voices heard throughout the year so it is really encouraging to note that we are 16% above the national average for the student voice question (85% / 69%). We take pride in helping our students achieve their full potential and we share and celebrate this very positive result with them.”
